Document Controller
EA Associates are working with a growing specialist subcontractor who deliver high-quality construction packages across London. As the business continues to expand, they are seeking an organised and proactive Document Controller to join their Chelmsford office.
The Role
As a Document Controller, you will play a key role in supporting project delivery teams by ensuring accurate management, distribution, and tracking of all project documentation. This is an office-based role working closely with project managers, design teams, and site staff.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage, maintain and update project documentation using the company’s document control systems

Ensure all drawings, reports and technical documents are stored, distributed and issued correctly
*
Liaise with project teams and external stakeholders to coordinate document flow
*
Maintain version control and ensure all superseded documents are removed from circulation
*
Produce document status reports and support with project administration tasks
*
Adhere to company processes and compliance standards
Requirements:
*
Experience in a Document Controller role within the construction industry (sub-contractor experience beneficial)
*
Strong IT skills and familiarity with document management software (e.g., Viewpoint, Asite, Aconex or similar)
*
Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and communication skills
*
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced project environment
*
Proactive approach and a strong sense of responsibility
