With over 30 years of experience, they operate predominantly in façade conservation and period property restoration across Central London, completing around 40 technically demanding projects per year with an average contract value of £500k.

Role Overview
We are seeking an Intermediate / Mid-Career Quantity Surveyor who is ambitious, commercially astute, and technically competent, with a view to progressing to a Commercial Manager role in the future.
This semi-autonomous position involves close collaboration with the commercial manager, contracts managers, estimators, and site teams. The successful candidate will manage project costs, budgets, and variations across multiple restoration projects, ensuring financial and operational success.
Key Responsibilities
Primary QS Duties
* Organise pre-start meetings, coordinate financial budgets, place sub-contract orders, and liaise with the logistics director/contracts manager for smooth project commencement.
* Attend site meetings, prepare schedules of variations, coordinate valuations, and manage budgets through to final account.
* Place orders with subcontractors and specialist suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
* Collaborate with project/site managers and foremen to monitor labour and budget adherence.
* Oversee the QS function for each project, managing overall costs, variations, and ensuring profitable outcomes.
* Conduct client/occupant meetings to assist with financial management of works through to completion.
* Issue valuations, variations, certifications, and final accounts in an organised and timely manner.
* Maintain QS office and site files, correspondence, and research best practices to enhance project value.
Client Liaison
* Act as the conduit between the contracts team and clients, providing timely information and updates.
* Assist in retaining existing clients and developing new business opportunities in restoration and conservation.
* Contribute to company development through events, presentations, and media presence.
* Undertake personal development and CPD to enhance management skills.
Key Performance Indicators
* Complete all QS duties in a timely and accurate manner.
* Attend sites regularly to survey, schedule, and record works.
* Issue valuations on time to meet monthly billing targets.
* Contribute to achieving pre-set profit levels on live projects.
* Support 100% client retention and develop new client relationships.

* Discretionary bonus of approximately 5% per annum (subject to probation).
* Annual leave: 20 days + 8 bank holidays, rising by 1 day per year to a maximum of 25 days, plus Christmas shutdown (3–5 days).
