Role Overview
We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s team to manage project costs, budgets, and commercial reporting across multiple building and refurbishment projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute and technically competent candidate to develop their career in a supportive, client-focused environment.
The role involves both site and office-based responsibilities, including pre-contract estimates, valuation management, subcontractor coordination, and client liaison.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions.
* Monitor and manage project finances, including valuations, variations, and final accounts.
* Liaise with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure efficient resource allocation and cost control.
* Manage procurement and place orders with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery.
* Attend client and stakeholder meetings to provide commercial updates and financial guidance.
* Maintain accurate project records, correspondence, and documentation.
* Support continuous improvement and best practice across projects.
Requirements
* Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
* Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in a QS role, ideally within refurbishment or contractor-side projects.
* Strong understanding of construction contracts, commercial processes, and cost control.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
* Proficiency in relevant QS software and MS Office.
Salary & Benefits
* Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum, dependent on experience
