Senior Fire Engineer
Summary
We’re partnering with an established multi-disciplinary consultancy based in London delivering fire engineering, fire safety, and fire strategy support across residential, commercial, education, and healthcare projects. Due to continued growth, they’re looking for a Senior Fire engineer or Principal Fire Engineer to help lead the development of their fire engineering capability and support major projects across the UK.
About the position
Lead the delivery of fire engineering, fire strategy reports, code consultancy and fire safety design on complex schemes
Provide expert guidance during design development, regulatory submissions, and technical reviews
Manage key client relationships and act as a senior point of contact
Support and mentor junior fire engineers, contributing to internal technical standards
Influence team growth and help shape the fire engineering function
Flexible working with remote and hybrid options, UK-wide role with occasional travel for project or client meetings
Senior/chartered salaries of over £100k available for chartered Fire Engineers
About you
5+ years experience in fire engineering, fire consultancy, fire safety engineering, or a similar technical role
Chartered or near-chartered (IFE/CEng) highly desirable
Strong background in fire strategy development, building regulations, BS 9999 / BS 7974, and performance-based design
Confident leading projects independently and representing the consultancy at a senior level
Able to travel occasionally for key design meetings and site visits
