The Role

As a Document Controller, you will ensure that documentation processes meet high standards of quality, reliability, usability, and performance. You will support project teams across the business and help foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and control all project document flow.

*

Liaise with project teams to ensure full understanding of document control procedures and CDE system processes. Provide training and instruction as required.

Ensure stakeholders receive up-to-date information.

*

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and ensure accurate information management.

*

Provide feedback to design and project managers regarding documentation issues.

*

Serve as a subject matter expert for CDE software (preferably ASITE) and coach project teams and subcontractors.

*

Assist in managing project documentation, ensuring all documents are current and correctly versioned.

*

Manage business archiving so documentation is efficiently stored and easily accessible.

*

Support project teams with document retrieval and distribution.

*

Maintain and update the document control system.

*

Identify opportunities to improve Information Management Systems and processes.

*

Prepare ad-hoc reports and provide general administrative support as required.

Skills & Experience Required

*

Proven experience in Document Control, ideally in the construction or public sector.

*

Strong administration skills and attention to detail.

*

Experience with Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms, specifically ASITE. Experience with BIW, 4projects, or other document control systems is a plus.

*

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

*

Knowledge of BIM and document management processes.

*

Ability to understand departmental operations and collaborate effectively across teams.

*

Relevant qualifications: GCSEs/S grades, A-levels, and/or NVQ in IT/Administration
