Senior Project Manager – Birmingham

An established and fast-growing construction fit-out contractor is seeking a hands-on Senior Project Manager to take a leading operational role within the business. This position offers the chance to shape delivery standards, influence growth, and lead multiple commercial design & build projects across the UK.

This is not a role for someone seeking routine or predictability. We are looking for an individual with a genuine drive for progression, a passion for high-quality project delivery, and the ambition to make a meaningful impact. You'll need to work collaboratively across departments, inspire those around you, and bring energy and ownership to every project.

The position is based in Birmingham, with travel required to sites nationwide.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage multiple fit-out projects simultaneously, setting clear strategies and maintaining robust project controls.
Oversee all aspects of project delivery—including timelines, budgets, risk, compliance, and quality standards.
Maintain regular communication with clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency, strong relationships, and first-class service.
Prepare contract plans, RAMS, safety documentation, and other compliant project paperwork.
Build and sustain strong working relationships with clients, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Plan, programme, and resource projects effectively to meet financial, quality, and safety targets.
Provide leadership, direction, and motivation to project teams and subcontractors. Skills & Experience

Extensive experience in the UK construction fit-out sector, working within multi-disciplinary project environments.
Proficiency in MS Project (or equivalent planning tools) and strong Excel capability.
Solid working knowledge of CDM Regulations.
Full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
Preferred qualifications: SMSTS, CSCS Black Card (or equivalent), NVQ Level 7 / Degree in a construction-related discipline.
