Quantity Surveyor – Passive Fire

An established and rapidly expanding Passive Fire Protection contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team. The business delivers fire doors, fire stopping, fire barriers and structural steel protection services for a wide range of clients across healthcare, education and construction sectors.

This is a full-time, office-based role reporting to the Commercial Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial management and financial performance of allocated projects, ensuring accurate reporting, strong cost control and the protection of project margins.

Key Responsibilities

1. Enquiry Management
• Liaise with operations teams on work requirements and costings
• Support the Commercial Director with client relations and ongoing customer satisfaction
• Communicate directly with clients on commercial matters

2. Financial Management
• Prepare and maintain monthly valuations/applications in line with client deadlines
• Oversee the full process for valuations, applications and invoicing across assigned projects
• Work with credit control and operations teams to resolve outstanding or disputed accounts

3. Commercial Reporting
• Support operations in maximising project value through accurate cost tracking
• Maintain monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports
• Oversee and update internal payment trackers
