Project Manager
GVR Solutions are proud to be working with a reputable and expanding drylining contractor that delivers high-quality partitioning, ceilings, and interior fit-out solutions across a wide range of commercial and residential projects.
Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager looking to progress their career within a dynamic and specialist subcontracting environment.
Responsibilities of the Project Manager:
* Manage and oversee assigned projects, ensuring responsible and cost-effective delivery aligned with commercial objectives.
* Provide clear leadership to Site Supervisors, fostering accountability and excellence.
* Support the development of Site Supervisors to take ownership of daily activities and controls.
* Represent the company professionally, maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
* Ensure all works are conducted in accordance with RAMS, PPE standards, and safety procedures.
* Promote behavioural and cultural safety initiatives across all teams.
* Review and monitor project programmes weekly, ensuring timely delivery.
* Conduct weekly site briefings to align activities with programme goals.
* Support Site Managers and Site Supervisors in maintaining accurate logs of materials, deliveries, and staff diaries.
* Work closely with the procurement team to oversee procurement activities and support supplier negotiations.
* Ensure timely updates to the programme and financial records following signed Instructions.
* Ensure compliance with specifications and contractual requirements.
* Oversee snagging processes and ensure areas are signed off by the Contractor.
* Develop comprehensive project plans including risk management and technical sequencing.
* Obtain necessary design approvals from clients and internal departments
The Project Manager must have/be:
* Robust experience in construction project delivery
* HND/Degree in Construction or Engineering
* Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills
* Ability to lead and support site teams effectively
* Knowledge of RAMS, programme sequencing and cost control
* Cooperative, flexible and resilient under pressure
