Trainee / Junior Electrical Estimator

Location: Orpington, UK
Salary: £30,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (or 7:00am – 4:00pm) with a 1-hour break

About the Role:
Dutton Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established electrical contracting company, who are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Trainee or Junior Electrical Estimator. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of electrical installations to transition into estimating and build a career in this area.

The Role:
The successful candidate will work full-time from the Orpington office, supporting senior estimators and gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard software including Countfire and Estimation. Full training will be provided for the estimating side of the role – however, a solid grounding in electrical installations is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing electrical estimates for projects
Learn to use Countfire and Estimation software
Collaborate with the team to gather and verify project information
Support senior estimators in delivering accurate and timely proposalsRequirements:

Strong understanding of electrical installations (previous electrical trade experience preferred)
Good attention to detail and organisational skills
Willingness to learn and develop as an estimator
