They're looking to add an experienced Quantity Surveyor to their team as they continue to expand and secure larger, more complex developments.

This business delivers a wide range of projects including hotels, offices, high-end commercial builds, industrial units, and renewable schemes such as solar and agricultural projects. With project values ranging from £1.5m to £7m and recent multi-year wins worth £17m and £25m they are scaling quickly. The company has grown organically through word of mouth and prides itself on being modern, transparent, and driven by long-term, sustainable expansion.

You'll be responsible for managing the full commercial function of projects, pricing works, handling subcontractor orders, completing valuations, managing invoicing, and working closely with the accounts team. As the sole QS, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects run commercially efficiently while supporting senior project managers across the business.

Therefore, the ideal candidate will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background working for main contractors, excellent commercial and contract knowledge (including JCT), and the ability to operate independently. Common sense, strong commercial acumen, and a positive, energetic approach are essential within this ambitious, fast-paced team.

The Role:
* Pricing projects and estimating
* Managing the commercial elements of projects
* Handling subcontractor orders
* Completing valuations and managing invoicing
* Working closely with the accounts team to ensure accurate financial control

The Person
* Experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong contractor-side commercial background
* Solid understanding of contracts, including JCT
* Able to work independently as the sole Quantity Surveyor
* Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
* Positive, energetic and ambitious team player
