Summary

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead and deliver civil engineering projects within the United Utilities AMP 8 framework. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of project delivery from inception through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, particularly within a Tier One contractor environment. The Project Manager will oversee programme development, risk management, procurement, and compliance with health and safety regulations, driving continuous improvement and innovation in project execution. Experience in civils projects, particularly within water infrastructure frameworks, is essential.

Skills

Proven project management experience within civil engineering, ideally AMP 8 framework
Strong knowledge of civils construction and water sector projects
Experience working with Tier One contractors
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Competence in contract and commercial management, including NEC contracts
Health and Safety compliance knowledge, including CDM regulations
Risk and opportunity management
Strong stakeholder and client relationship management
Programme and resource planning
Effective communication and reporting skills

Software/Tools

Primavera P6 or equivalent project scheduling software
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Project management and collaboration tools

Certifications & Standards

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or equivalent
CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
First Aid at Work (desirable)
Knowledge of NEC4 contracts
Understanding of CDM 2015 regulations
