About the Role:
We have been asked to find a Senior Engineer for one of our key clients within the Reinforced Concrete Frame and Groundwork sector, to be based on a long-term project in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
Duties:
* Maintaining up-to-date construction drawings and registers
* Needs to be familiar with Leica EDM (TS06 / TS12 / TS16)
* Checking building layout in relation to site boundaries
* Carrying out site surveys and level surveys before the site starts
* Able to confidently take overall responsibility for setting out all elements and controlling line and level
* Taking off and ordering all groundworks & RC frame materials (drainage, waterproofing, concrete, rebar, cast-in items etc)
* Resolving any setting out problems and raising and tracking RFIs
* QA on site
* Implementation of the site Inspection Test Plan and specifications we are working to
* Raise technical submittals
* Proficient with As-builts
* Record keeping and issuing to QS
* Use of CAD
* Proactive in closing out technical queries on site
The Requirements:
* Candidates need to be degree-qualified in Civil Engineering (or Structural Engineering) to be considered
* A minimum of 3 years’ setting out experience, followed by 3 years as a senior engineer, working within this sector, needs to have been gained
* Experience of groundwork and concrete frames packages is a must
* Stable careers that don’t involve multiple company changes per year, as our client is looking for long-term individuals to be directly employed.
Pay Rate:
For these roles, our client is looking to employ on a direct basis and pay anywhere from £300 per day to £350 per day, depending on the experience gained. They are also open to considering some travel expenses in certain situations, as long as the commitment is there.
