Damp & Mould Surveyor

We are recruiting for an experienced Damp & Mould Surveyor to join a property services team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in identifying, assessing, and advising on damp, condensation, and mould issues across our housing stock. This is a key position focused on improving living conditions, ensuring tenant safety, and supporting our commitment to maintaining high-quality homes.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough surveys of residential properties to identify damp, condensation, and mould issues.

Diagnose root causes and recommend appropriate remedial actions.

Produce clear, accurate, and comprehensive survey reports.

*

Liaise with tenants, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate inspection appointments and follow-up actions.

*

Provide expert advice on preventative measures and long-term solutions.

*

Monitor progress of remedial works and ensure quality standards are met.

*

Maintain accurate records and contribute to data analysis for future planning.

*

Support the organisation’s compliance with relevant regulations and health & safety standards.

Requirements

*

Experience in property surveying, building pathology, or a similar technical role.

*

Strong understanding of damp, condensation, and mould diagnostics.

*

Excellent communication and customer service skills, particularly with vulnerable residents.

*

Ability to produce high-quality technical reports.

*

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between properties.

*

Relevant qualification (e.g., HNC/HND in Building Studies, CSRT/CSTDB) is desirable but not essential.

Working on a contract basis, with excellent working conditions and rates of pay
