Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Are you looking to grow your commercial career with a respected civils contractor? We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team delivering key projects as part of a long-term framework agreement.

About the Role

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you’ll support the commercial team across a variety of civil engineering works, ensuring the successful delivery of projects in line with framework requirements. You’ll work closely with Senior QSs and Project Managers on cost management, forecasting, performance reporting, and subcontractor administration.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets and cost plans

* Support monthly valuations, CVRs, forecasting, and reporting

* Administer subcontract procurement, payments, variations, and final accounts

* Measure works and maintain accurate commercial records

* Support compliance with framework processes and client reporting requirements

* Contribute to value engineering, risk management, and cost control activities

What We’re Looking For

* Experience in a Quantity Surveying role (placement, graduate or assistant level considered)

* Ideally some exposure to civil engineering or infrastructure projects

* Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills

* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

* A positive attitude and willingness to develop through hands-on experience

* Working towards or holding a relevant QS qualification (HNC, Degree, or equivalent)
