The Opportunity
Join a respected regional contractor with a strong heritage in the South West. As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take commercial ownership of small to medium-sized construction projects across healthcare, education, residential and commercial sectors.
You’ll work closely with an established commercial team, providing cost leadership while helping to mentor junior members as the department continues to grow.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for:

Cost planning, estimating and tender preparation.
*
Subcontract procurement and contract negotiation.
*
Managing valuations, variations and commercial reporting.
*
Final accounts and project financial management.
*
Monitoring cost risks, forecasts and commercial targets.
*
Supporting junior commercial staff and liaising with site teams.
*
Building strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
About You
*
Experience as a QS within a regional or main contractor.
*
Familiar with JCT forms and commercial delivery on multiple projects.
*
Confident in procurement, cost reporting, measurement and negotiation.
*
Clear communicator, commercially aware and client-focused.
*
Able to manage both site-based and office-based responsibilities.
*
Full UK driving licence.
