This is a hands-on, client-facing estimating role where your technical expertise and commercial judgement will directly shape flagship projects, with a clear route to senior-level responsibility.

Working on luxury retail spaces, landmark commercial developments, and complex bespoke joinery schemes, you’ll take full ownership of producing accurate, competitive, and strategically informed estimates. You’ll collaborate closely with in-house design, manufacturing, and installation teams, while attending client meetings to provide insight, clarity, and confidence.

The Role

* Prepare detailed, accurate estimates using architectural drawings, specifications, and design information

* Price bespoke joinery and high-end fit-out packages including millwork, cabinetry, retail fixtures, and full installation works

* Break down materials, labour, workshop time, and specialist processes to ensure competitive yet profitable pricing

* Maintain and manage cost databases for materials, hardware, and bespoke fabrication techniques

* Support Project Directors through robust handover documentation following contract award

* Liaise with internal departments to ensure estimates align with workshop capability and installation methodology

This role blends precision estimating with hands-on understanding of how joinery is truly made, appealing to professionals who enjoy being close to the craft and the commercial decision-making.

What You’ll Bring

* Proven experience estimating within joinery, bespoke interiors, or high-end shopfitting

* Strong ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications, schedules, and detailed hardware information

* Solid understanding of workshop manufacture and on-site installation processes

* Confident communicator able to attend client meetings and provide clear commercial and technical reasoning

* Highly organised, target-driven, and capable of juggling multiple tenders at once

Essential Requirements

* Estimating or commercial background in joinery or shopfitting

* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and estimating systems

* Strong mathematical skills and exceptional attention to detail

* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments

Salary & Benefits

* £60,000 – £70,000 per annum

* 25 days holiday + bank holidays
