Geospatial Analysis Lead (Associate)
We’re partnering with a design-led consultancy working at the intersection of urban design, spatial planning and data analytics. Their specialist team develops digital tools and evidence-based insights that help shape more walkable, liveable and sustainable communities across the UK.
As the team enters its next phase of growth, they are seeking a Geospatial Analysis Lead, a role combining business development, client engagement, project delivery and technical geospatial insight. This is a genuinely rare opportunity for someone who enjoys both people and data, and who wants to influence how digital intelligence supports better placemaking.
The Role
You’ll take a leading role in coordinating day-to-day activities within a small but ambitious urban analytics team, while also helping to grow its profile and client base. Working closely with designers, planners, researchers and external collaborators, you’ll ensure digital insights meaningfully support wider project objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the delivery of geospatial analysis projects, mapping outputs and digital assessments
Identifying new business opportunities and converting enquiries into commissions
Managing and mentoring junior analysts, ensuring consistency and quality
Preparing proposals, presentations and digital content for clients and stakeholders
Engaging with public and private sector clients across planning, development and regeneration
Working closely with design and masterplanning teams to integrate spatial insights into project strategies
Overseeing CRM activity, pipeline reporting and the coordination of marketing material
Supporting research, innovation and continuous improvement of digital tools and methods
Producing articles, case studies and thought-leadership pieces for external communicationAbout You
Professional experience in business development, consulting, geospatial analysis or digital planning
Strong understanding of spatial data, GIS and digital mapping (e.g., QGIS or similar)
Confident communicator able to engage clients, present ideas and lead conversations
Interest in urban design, placemaking and digital transformation within the built environment
Ability to interpret geospatial datasets, urban network analysis and socio-economic modelling
Highly organised, able to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines
Experience with CAD, Adobe Creative Suite or InDesign beneficial
Familiarity with coding (e.g., Python) or digital modelling tools is an advantage
Willingness to travel in the UK for meetings and project workWhy This Role?
