CIVILS ENGINEER – BELOW-GROUND DRAINAGE DESIGN

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Civils Engineer with strong expertise in the design of below-ground drainage systems to join our growing team in Staffordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically skilled engineer who enjoys problem-solving, delivering high-quality solutions, and working on a diverse range of infrastructure and development projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce detailed below-ground drainage designs (foul & surface water) for residential, commercial, and industrial schemes.
* Prepare drainage strategies, flood risk assessments input, and relevant technical documentation.
* Use industry-standard software such as MicroDrainage, Civil 3D, Causeway Flow, or equivalents.
* Liaise with local authorities, utility providers, and clients to progress approvals.
* Support project delivery from concept through to construction.
* Ensure designs comply with current legislation, standards, and best practice (SuDS, Building Regs, Sewers for Adoption, etc.).
About You
* Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Proven experience designing below-ground drainage systems.
* Proficient in relevant design software.
* Strong understanding of SuDS principles and UK drainage standards.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
