Our client, a well-established and reputable main contractor, is seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team in Guildford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their QS career while working on a diverse portfolio of projects.

The Role

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial lead on day-to-day cost management and project delivery. Responsibilities include:

Assisting with cost planning, valuations, and procurement

Supporting the preparation of bills of quantities and tender documentation

*

Monitoring project budgets and cost reporting

*

Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams

*

Ensuring compliance with company processes and contractual requirements

About You

*

Previous experience with a main contractor in a QS role

*

Working towards a degree in Quantity Surveying or similar (or equivalent experience)

*

Strong numerical, communication, and organisational skills

*

Eager to learn, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
