Senior Quantity Surveyor – Main Contractor
Location: Guildford, Surrey
Salary: Up to £85,000 + package

Our client, a well-established and respected Main Contractor, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team in Guildford. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and commercially astute QS to take ownership of exciting projects and contribute to the continued success of a reputable contractor.

The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the full commercial lifecycle of projects across the region. Key responsibilities include:

Leading cost management across multiple construction projects

Procurement of subcontractors and materials

*

Managing valuations, variations, and final accounts

*

Providing accurate cost reporting and forecasting

*

Working closely with project teams to ensure commercial objectives are met

*

Maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment

*

Strong understanding of construction processes and commercial management

*

Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills

*

Ability to work autonomously while supporting wider project teams

*

Relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., RICS desirable)
