About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager with proven experience in delivering complex biogas or renewable energy construction projects. You will lead multidisciplinary teams across the full project lifecycle—from design and permitting through to construction, commissioning, and handover—ensuring projects are executed safely, sustainably, and in line with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and lead on-site construction meetings to monitor progress, address issues, and maintain alignment across all stakeholders
*
Oversee the performance of the Principal Contractor, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and contractual requirements
*
Manage the procurement process by issuing RFQs, evaluating supplier proposals, and recommending awards
*
Develop and control the project’s procurement strategy, ensuring timely sourcing and delivery of materials, equipment, and subcontract packages
*
Facilitate project kick-off meetings and distribute detailed minutes to establish clear expectations and responsibilities
*
Verify contractors are providing adequate labour, equipment, and materials to meet schedule commitments
*
Direct and coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams to ensure timely delivery, review, and approval of design outputs
*
Chair weekly project meetings, track action items, and ensure follow-through
*
Lead contract negotiations for AD technology, civil works, piping and mechanical systems, electrical installations, instrumentation, control systems, and telecoms, providing recommendations for approval
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
*
NVQ Level 5, HNC/HND, or Degree in an Engineering discipline
*
Project Management Certificate and recognised formal PM training
*
HSE certification in Managing Safely (or equivalent)
*
Experience using Procore or other construction management software, or willingness to adopt new platforms
*
Previous experience with biogas, anaerobic digestion, or gas-to-grid projects (highly advantageous)
*
Strong working knowledge of MS Office and experience with project planning tools
*
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
*
Willingness to travel regularly to project sites
*
Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and team management capability
*
Proven problem-solving skills, decisiveness, and time-management
*
Ability to delegate effectively while managing multiple priorities
