Estimator

I'm looking for an Estimator to join an award-winning fire protection business based in Halifax.

Role Responsibilities:

Pricing works for the business units and as part of the large bid team
Liaising with clients to understand the scope
Site visits and precontract meetings as required
Liaising with operational staff to understand the costs associated with delivering the project
Developing pricing models and rate schedules for different environments and sectors
Providing the operational teams with clear scope and budget parameters to assist with the profitable delivery of contracts
Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing
Liaising with clients to resolve quotation queries
Developing a menu of prices for an 'automated' response to small work pricingExperience Required:

Pricing of passive fire and fire door works desirable but not essential
Pricing of construction works and construction pricing models
Microsoft officeQualifications Required:

Estimating or equivalent to HND standardThe salary is £40,000 to £55,000 plus an excellent benefits package
