I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established main contractor who are seeking an ambitious Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Stoke-on-Trent. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within a successful, reputable construction business.

The Role

The successful candidate will support the commercial team across a variety of projects, gaining hands-on experience and structured training. Responsibilities will include:

Assisting with cost planning, measurements and valuations

Supporting procurement activities and contract administration

*

Helping to prepare tender documents and bills of quantities

*

Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and site teams

*

Monitoring project costs and assisting with reporting

Requirements

*

Strong interest in construction and commercial management

*

Good numerical skills and attention to detail

*

Excellent communication and willingness to learn

*

Construction-related qualification beneficial (but not essential)

*

Full UK driving licence preferred
