About the Company

Our client is a leading passive fire protection and fire stopping contractor, delivering high-quality, compliant solutions across commercial, residential, industrial, and public-sector environments. Due to sustained growth and an expanding order book, they are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to oversee fire stopping projects and drive operational excellence.

Role Overview

As the Senior Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple fire stopping projects across the UK. You will ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of compliance. This position is primarily based in the Middlesbrough region, with occasional nationwide travel to project sites as required.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the management, planning, and delivery of fire stopping and passive fire protection projects.

Lead and support project teams, supervisors, and operatives.

*

Manage client relationships, attend progress meetings, and provide technical guidance.

*

Ensure full compliance with Fire Safety Regulations, Building Regulations, and industry standards.

*

Monitor project performance, budgets, resourcing, and deadlines.

*

Conduct site visits, audits, and quality inspections.

*

Produce risk assessments, method statements, and project documentation.

*

Identify and resolve any project-related issues, risks, or delays.

*

Contribute to business development and tender submissions when required.

Experience & Qualifications

*

Proven experience in a Contracts Manager or Senior Contracts Manager role within fire stopping or passive fire protection.

*

Strong understanding of fire protection systems, compartmentation, and compliance requirements.

*

FIRAS, IFC, BM TRADA, or similar accreditation (desirable).

*

Excellent leadership, communication, and client-management skills.

*

Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects nationwide.

*

Strong commercial awareness and contractual understanding.

*

Full UK driving licence.
