Quantity Surveyor/Estimator

An established and rapidly growing groundwork and surfacing contractor in Stafford is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join their commercial team and support our expanding workload across multiple frameworks and project types.

You'll play a key role in driving commercial success from tender through to final account and take responsibility for the preparation of estimates, tender submissions and cost plans, as well as managing live project financial to ensure profitability and contract compliance.

As the Quantity Surveyor/Estimator, your key responsibilities will include:

* Oversee and support the commercial team on project delivery and cost management.

* Prepare and manage valuations, variations, and final accounts.

* Monitor budgets, forecasts, and cashflow.

* Negotiate contracts and manage subcontractor relationships.

* Ensure compliance with company and client procedures.

* Provide accurate and timely commercial reporting to senior management.

The Quantity Surveyor/Estimator will have the following skills and experience:

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator within groundworks or civil engineering is essential.

* Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

* Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and support a growing commercial team.

* Full UK driving licence.
