Mechanical Contracts Manager

A respected building-services contractor is looking to strengthen its mechanical division with the appointment of a Mechanical Contracts Manager in Leeds. This is a key position within the business, taking responsibility for a portfolio of mechanical projects across commercial, industrial and public-sector environments.

You’ll take ownership of schemes from pre-start through to handover, ensuring they are delivered safely, profitably and to the required technical standards. The role suits someone who is used to managing engineers, supervisors and site teams, and who is comfortable steering multiple projects at different stages of the programme.

Day to day, you’ll coordinate labour and subcontractors, work closely with the commercial team on forecasting and valuations, and maintain strong working relationships with clients and main contractors. Your focus will be on keeping projects on track, addressing issues quickly, and ensuring compliance across design, installation and commissioning.

To succeed, you’ll need a solid mechanical building-services background and experience running several live projects at once. Strong leadership, a calm approach under pressure and the ability to communicate confidently with clients and internal teams are essential. A full UK driving licence is required.

In return, the business offers a salary of £65,000 – £75,000, a car or allowance, and a full package with genuine scope to progress within a growing operation
