Maintenance Engineer

Location: On-Site (Static), Marylebone – Central London
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

GM Recruitment are partnering with a long-established, highly respected building contractor to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a prestigious static site in London.

The Role:

You'll be responsible for delivering planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance across a high-profile facility. This includes fault-finding, testing, repairs, and ensuring all compliance, safety and documentation standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance.
Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnose faults and complete repairs.
Conduct routine checks and inspections.
Manage and prioritise electrical workload across the site.
Complete all documentation accurately for audits and compliance.
Supervise subcontractors on site.
Ensure all work meets client, health & safety, and legislative standards.
Support mechanical, electrical and water treatment PPMs.
Work with BMS systems, including humidity controls.
Operate effectively within a museum or specialist environmental setting.Essential Requirements:

Level 3 C&G/NVQ in Electrical Installation or equivalent
18th Edition
NICEIC Testing & Inspection qualification
Experience working in a Facilities Management environment
Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, positive attitude
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Excellent customer service skills
Strong planning, organisation and attention to detail
