Senior Repairs Supervisor – Social Housing & Reactive Repairs
We’re seeking a highly experienced Senior Repairs Supervisor with a proven track record in social housing repairs and reactive maintenance. This is a senior leadership role where you’ll oversee multiple teams, drive service excellence, and ensure residents receive a safe, efficient, and high-quality repairs service.
What you’ll be doing

Leading and managing several teams of operatives and subcontractors delivering responsive repairs and maintenance.

Overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to specification.
*
Monitoring productivity, performance, and quality across multiple sites, with regular inspections and reviews.
*
Managing variations, coding accuracy, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
*
Coordinating with planners, administrators, and management teams to maintain smooth workflows and accurate reporting.
*
Driving a strong Health & Safety culture through toolbox talks, risk assessments, and site audits.
*
Supporting resource planning, including out-of-hours service coverage.
*
Building and maintaining strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and stakeholders.
*
Coaching supervisors and mentoring apprentices, developing team capability and succession planning.
*
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and service innovation.
What we’re looking for
*
Essential: Extensive experience in social housing repairs and reactive maintenance.
*
Proven background as a Senior Repairs Supervisor or equivalent in property maintenance.
*
Strong technical knowledge across multiple trades.
*
Excellent understanding of Health & Safety, RAMS, and compliance processes.
*
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams and monitor performance metrics.
*
Exceptional communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
*
IT proficiency (Microsoft Office, mobile work management systems).
*
CSCS card and supervisory safety training (SSSTS / SMSTS preferred).
*
Full UK driving licence.
