Resident Liaison Officer
We are working with a well-established building and construction contractor delivering refurbishment, remedial and new-build works. The business prides itself on quality craftsmanship, sustainable practices and strong client satisfaction, and now seeks a dedicated Resident Liaison Officer to join the team.
As RLO, you will be the main point of contact for residents whose homes are undergoing works. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring residents remain informed, supported and confident throughout the project lifecycle, while helping the site and project teams deliver work with minimal disruption.
Key Responsibilities

Act as primary liaison between residents, site/project teams and clients.

Clearly communicate project scope, timelines, schedule of works, and any potential impacts to residents (e.g. access arrangements, service disruptions)
*
Manage resident consultations, including letters, notices, newsletters or resident-charter documentation where appropriate.
*
Handle resident enquiries, concerns or complaints in a sensitive, timely and professional manner; escalate matters when required.
*
Coordinate access arrangements and appointments with tenants (e.g. scheduling site visits, surveys, works).
*
Attend meetings with residents, clients and project teams; produce reports and keep accurate records of interactions, access logs, complaints and resolutions.
*
Support vulnerable residents where needed, ensuring their needs and concerns are carefully considered and addressed.
Person Specification / Skills & Experience
*
Previous experience in a Resident Liaison Officer, Tenant Liaison Officer, or similar resident-/tenant-facing role in construction, refurbishment or social housing environment.
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — you should be approachable, empathetic, and able to build trust and rapport with residents.
*
Strong organisational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, keep accurate records, and follow through on commitments.
*
Basic IT proficiency (email, Word, Excel or similar) to support documentation, reporting and communication tasks.
*
Full UK Driving Licence and willingness/flexibility to travel to different sites as required.
*
Professional, respectful attitude — especially when working with residents from diverse backgrounds and varying needs (including elderly or vulnerable individuals). Ability to handle sensitive situations discretely and compassionately.
