The Role – Finishing Manager / Customer Care Manager

We are seeking an experienced Finishing Manager / Customer Care Manager to take responsibility for the final quality stages of a large residential development. This position is essential to ensuring that every home is completed to a high standard, defects are dealt with quickly, and customers receive an outstanding handover experience.

This is a hybrid role bridging site delivery and customer service—ideal for someone who understands build quality, has a strong eye for detail, and enjoys dealing with homeowners professionally.

Key Responsibilities

Finishing Manager Duties:

Oversee the final stages of construction on new homes, ensuring plots are completed to the highest standard.

Carry out detailed snagging inspections using digital snagging tools and software.

*

Coordinate subcontractors to complete all outstanding works before handover.

*

Ensure all finishing trades maintain high-quality workmanship.

*

Complete plot sign-off processes including pre-inspections, quality audits, and final checks.

*

Work closely with the site team to ensure programme deadlines and quality targets are achieved.

Customer Care Manager Duties:

Act as the point of contact for homeowners from pre-handover through their warranty period.

*

Manage customer care issues, defects, and warranty works efficiently and professionally.

*

Book in visits with trades and ensure customer queries are resolved promptly.

*

Provide an excellent customer experience, maintaining clear communication and updates.

*

Manage customer complaints and ensure all work meets NHBC and company standards.

*

Support home demonstrations, handovers, and follow-up visits.

Requirements

*

Gold CSCS Card (Essential)

*

First Aid Certificate (Essential)

*

Previous experience as a Finishing Manager, Assistant Site Manager, Customer Care Manager, or similar role for a housebuilder.

*

Strong understanding of NHBC standards and residential build quality.

*

Excellent interpersonal skills and calm, professional customer-facing manner.

*

Ability to manage multiple trades and customer issues simultaneously.

*

Competent using snagging software or digital inspection tools.
