Project Manager – North East Highways Scheme

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to take the lead on a £10 million flagship project within the North East National Highways Framework.
This is a standout opportunity to deliver a major highways, bridges, and pipeline scheme that will shape future infrastructure across the region. ️

As Project Manager, you’ll drive the project from concept to completion—ensuring safe delivery, maintaining programme performance, managing commercial targets, and steering a high-performing team. You’ll be at the heart of a major national investment, working closely with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary partners.

Responsibilities

Leading end-to-end delivery of a major highways and infrastructure scheme

Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors

Managing programme development, progress tracking, and reporting

Driving top-tier health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance

Overseeing budgets, forecasting, and commercial performance

Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies

Building strong client and stakeholder relationships

Skills & Experience 

✔️ Proven PM experience in civil engineering (highways, bridges, pipelines)

✔️ Strong leadership and people management abilities

✔️ Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement

✔️ Deep knowledge of H&S compliance and site safety

✔️ Commercial awareness and cost-control expertise

✔️ Programme planning and risk management capability

✔️ Experience delivering within a national framework environment
