Building Services Manager

We are seeking an experienced Building Services Manager to oversee MEP services across commercial projects from pre-construction through to project delivery. The role involves leading design coordination, managing subcontractors, and ensuring all services are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Construction

Review MEP designs, specifications, and tender documents.

*

Provide technical input for bids, value engineering, and design development.

*

Support procurement: define scopes, assess tenders, identify risks.

*

Coordinate with designers and consultants to resolve technical queries.

*

Assist in developing pre-construction programmes and logistics strategies.

Project Delivery

*

Manage MEP subcontractors through installation, commissioning, and handover.

*

Monitor progress, quality, and compliance with design and regulations.

*

Lead services coordination meetings and interface with site teams.

*

Oversee testing, commissioning, and certification.

*

Manage technical queries, changes, and service-related risks.

Skills & Experience

*

Proven experience managing building services for a main contractor.

*

Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems in commercial buildings.

*

Experience in both pre-construction and live project environments.

*

Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

*

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

*

Degree or HNC/HND in Building Services or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.

Professional memberships and site certifications desirable
