A long-established, family-run business operating across agriculture, construction, civils and groundworks is looking for a hands-on Contracts Manager ready to take real ownership – and ultimately step into an MD role long term.

🔧 The Role

You’ll be running projects across construction, civils, groundworks and agri-build, managing labour, subcontractors, plant and materials, while building strong relationships with farmers, landowners and owner-managed clients. No corporate noise. No remote working. Real work, real accountability.

🧭 What You’ll Do

* Lead project delivery across multiple sites

* Manage resources, safety, quality and commercials

* Price small–medium works and support larger tenders

* Develop teams and raise delivery standards

* Help drive long-term strategy and succession

* Solid contracts management background (construction/civils/groundworks/agri-build)

* Practical, hands-on leadership — ideally up through the tools

* Confident juggling multiple jobs and solving problems quickly

* Strong client communication and trust-building skills

* Fully committed to being on-site / office-based
