About the Role
We are seeking an experienced M&E Manager to support the completion and progression of MEP works on a major residential development in Clapham Junction. Working on the back end of the project across multiple residential blocks, you will take ownership of closing out existing issues, driving progress on remaining installations, and ensuring all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems are delivered to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the close-out of MEP works across several residential blocks, including:
* Electrical installation
* Mechanical installation
* Plumbing systems
* Life safety systems (fire alarms, smoke vents, sprinklers, etc.)
* Oversee and drive progress of ongoing MEP installations in additional blocks, ensuring quality, safety, and programme compliance.
* Manage and coordinate the MEP subcontractor, ensuring work is delivered to specification and within agreed timescales.
* Oversee the Water Treatment Process in collaboration with the specialist subcontractor, ensuring full compliance with BG29/2021 and project quality requirements.
* Monitor and report on M&E progress, quality, technical compliance, and outstanding works.
* Attend site meetings, review drawings, RFI responses, commissioning plans, and ensure all MEP documentation is completed and up to date.
* Support testing, commissioning, and handover processes across the blocks.
* Identify risks, propose solutions, and maintain strong communication between site teams, design consultants, and subcontractors.
Requirements
* Proven experience as an M&E Manager on large-scale residential or mixed-use developments.
* Strong technical understanding of MEP systems, installation, testing, and commissioning.
* Experience managing MEP subcontractors and delivering stages of a project towards completion.
* Knowledge of water treatment procedures and compliance standards including BG29/2021.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work proactively, drive progress, and maintain high-quality standards.
