Your new company
You will be joining a main contractor based in Leicester operating in the water industry. This multi-accredited organisation has a strong pipeline of work with multiple major water providers, including Severn Trent, and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development.
Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Senior Project Engineer to join their team.
This is a full-time permanent office-based position with occasional site travel (across England). Working hours are 37.5 hours per week with a half-day finish every Friday.
Your new role
As Senior Project Engineer, you will be based out of their Leicester office and be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Outlining engineering works from inception through to completion
- Participating in project review meetings and contributing to business process improvements
- Coordinating and managing subcontractors to ensure mechanical works align with project objectives, timelines and quality standards
- Preparing reports, project plans and status updates for clients and internal stakeholders
- Conducting site visits (across England) on occasion to monitor progress of mechanical works, troubleshoot technical issues and ensure safety and compliance with standards.
- Leading successful delivery of multidisciplinary complex projects.
What you’ll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:
- Proven project management/engineering experience in the water industry
- Good working knowledge of NEC contracts, CDM regulations and project programmes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Full UK driving licence.
