The Opportunity

They’re searching for a dynamic Senior Project Manager to bolster their Exeter team — someone who thrives on responsibility, loves variety and wants to lead high-impact projects from initial concept through to handover.
You’ll take the reins on project delivery, client interaction and team coordination, including:

Leading, coordinating and delegating work across project teams
Owning project reporting and managing performance against budgets and timelines
Updating project schedules and reporting progress, risks and actions to clients
Preparing site assessments, due-diligence reports, cost and construction reports
Managing design development and approvals throughout planning and construction
Running review meetings with contractors to drive quality, progress and safety
Preparing scope, tender documentation, bills of quantities and guidelines
Overseeing contractors and inspecting works through to completion
Supporting annual budget planning and capital/expense requirements
Ensuring licenses, consents and approvals are secured on time
Managing fees, invoices, aged debt and financial control processes
Monitoring sub-consultants’ performance and authorising payments

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll be an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong Construction Consultancy background, plus:

A relevant technical/project management qualification
At least three years’ experience delivering construction projects (multi-site retail experience advantageous)
Solid knowledge of civil, mechanical and electrical systems
A passion for project management and a drive to progress your career
Strong writing skills and confidence reading drawings/tenders
Excellent client-facing skills and the ability to build trusted relationships
Ability to work independently and take ownership of delivery
High proficiency in Microsoft Office
Organised, proactive, commercially aware and laser-focused on quality
