An established, high-quality residential developer—known for delivering premium houses and contemporary apartment schemes across the Southeast—is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This opportunity is based on a brand-new development of 350 homes and apartments, offering long-term career progression within a supportive and well-structured environment.

Reporting directly to the Senior Project Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of the project, taking responsibility for procurement, cost control, valuations, and subcontractor management as the development progresses through multiple phases.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist the Senior Project QS with cost planning, reporting, and financial management.

* Support in tendering and procurement of subcontract packages.

* Manage and assess subcontractor applications, variations, and payments.

* Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and expenditure.

* Liaise closely with site teams to ensure accurate commercial reporting.

* Contribute to maintaining strong supply-chain relationships.

Requirements

* 2+ years’ experience working with a Residential Developer, Specialist Subcontractor, or Main Contractor.

* Strong understanding of residential construction processes.

* Good commercial awareness with the ability to work both independently and as part of a project team.

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.

* A proactive approach and willingness to develop professionally.
