Head of Manufacturing
About the Role
Chase Taylor are seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Manufacturing to lead a busy production facility specialising in UPVC and Aluminium windows and doors. This senior role will ensure the smooth operation of all manufacturing processes, overseeing production, quality control, and team management to deliver consistent, high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production of UPVC and Aluminium windows and doors.

Oversee day-to-day production operations, including scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation.
*
Ensure all manufacturing processes meet quality standards, health and safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
*
Monitor production KPIs, identify areas for improvement, and implement process optimisations.
*
Manage, motivate, and develop production teams to achieve performance and quality targets.
*
Collaborate with other departments (sales, planning, logistics, and technical teams) to meet customer requirements.
*
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain high product standards.

Prepare reports and updates for senior management on production performance, capacity, and operational issues.
Skills & Competencies
*
Proven leadership experience in manufacturing, ideally within UPVC and/or Aluminium windows and doors.
*
Strong understanding of production processes, quality management, and health & safety compliance.
*
Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
*
Ability to manage and develop teams in a fast-paced production environment.
*
Commercially minded with experience in operational planning and KPI management.
*
Proficient in production software and Microsoft Office.
Experience & Qualifications
*
Significant experience in a senior manufacturing or operations management role.
*
Knowledge of UPVC and Aluminium window and door production processes.
*
Strong track record of improving efficiency, quality, and team performance.
*
Relevant qualifications in manufacturing, engineering, or operations management are advantageous.
Working Pattern
*
Full-time role, based at the manufacturing facility.
*
Leadership presence on-site required, with occasional flexible hours depending on production demands
