Property Maintenance Technician
We have partnered with a leading Scottish luxury hotel group, and are looking for a skilled and proactive Property Maintenance Technician to help us keep our venues safe, efficient and looking their best. In this regional role, you'll support around 10 venues across Glasgow and the west, ensuring high-quality maintenance standards and delivering excellent service to guests, clients and the team.
Key Responsibilities
Building & Equipment Maintenance
* Optimise overall property condition and quality, ensuring buildings remain safe, functional and compliant.
* Provide first-line response to maintenance issues, carrying out effective fault-finding and repair.
* Perform scheduled and planned maintenance tasks as directed by the Property Manager.
* Undertake reactive maintenance and repairs swiftly to prevent escalation or major damage.
* Maintain and service building systems, including plumbing, plant equipment, safety systems and general fixtures.
Grounds & External Fabric
* Oversee external building upkeep, including drainage, guttering and general grounds maintenance.
* Contribute to the preservation of structural elements and external presentation.
Tools, Materials & Quality
* Source materials and ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and presentation.
* Demonstrate safe and competent use of hand tools and power tools (e.g., drills, screwdrivers, pliers, carpentry and plumbing tools).
* Accurately record, report and document maintenance activities, internally and externally as required.
Teamwork & Compliance
* Work collaboratively with the wider Property Team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and professionally.
* Support ad-hoc maintenance tasks and project work as needed.
* Follow all company safety policies, environmental procedures, and code of conduct with a strong sense of duty of care.
* Apply and promote the principles of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
Role Requirements
* Regional travel across approximately 10 venues (transport details can be discussed at interview).
* Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, with some flexibility depending on operational needs.
* Occasional weekend on-call availability.
