Operations Manager – Windows & Doors (UPVC & Aluminium)

Chase Taylor Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client who is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and lead the smooth running of their fabrication facility. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer within the UPVC and aluminium window and door industry, taking ownership of operational performance and driving continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fabrication facility to ensure efficient and smooth workflow.

*

Lead production, warehousing, and logistics teams to ensure output, quality, and delivery targets are consistently met.

*

Implement, monitor, and improve operational processes and KPIs to boost productivity and minimise downtime.

*

Work closely with senior management to plan capacity, schedule production, and forecast demand.

*

Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, quality procedures, and industry regulations.

*

Identify bottlenecks and introduce process improvements to optimise efficiency.

*

Develop and motivate team leaders and supervisors to maintain a high-performance culture.

*

Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and technical teams to ensure smooth order flow from enquiry to delivery.

*

Lead continuous improvement initiatives across fabrication, assembly, and despatch operations.

Experience & Skills Required

*

Previous experience within the window and door fabrication industry is essential (UPVC, aluminium, or both).

*

Proven experience in an operational leadership or management role.

*

Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes, production workflows, and fabrication machinery.

*

Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.

*

Ability to problem-solve, implement improvements, and drive operational efficiencies.

*

Confident working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with tight deadlines
