Senior Quantity Surveyor
Stride Recruitment are urgently recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage financial forecasts, cost/value reports, managing subcontractor payments, and maximizing cash flow for a main contractor specialising in residential and commercial construction across the UK, based in London.

Key responsibilities:
* Manage project budgets, costs, and cash flow.
* Prepare monthly cost-value reports and financial forecasts.
* Oversee the procurement and management of subcontractors.
* Negotiate contracts, handle variations, and resolve disputes.
* Work closely with project managers, site teams, and clients.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships.
* Mentor junior quantity surveying staff.
* Ensure projects comply with health and safety regulations.
Academic qualifications:
A strong academic background in construction and surveying is typically expected. Useful degrees and qualifications include:
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Postgraduate conversion course, which may be pursued by those who have an undergraduate degree in a different subject, such as mathematics, geography, or economics.
* HNC or HND in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management may also be acceptable for certain positions.
* Degree apprenticeships are another valid pathway, combining paid work with part-time university study.
