We are seeking an experienced and motivated Contract Officer to join our Estates & Facilities Management team. You will play a key role in managing contracts for both soft and hard services, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of value for money.

Description

Plan and prepare tenders, budgets, and contract renewals.
Draft and review specifications, contracts, and tender documents.
Appoint and administer contractors under University terms or JCT contracts.
Monitor contractor performance, KPIs, and quality assurance standards.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
Manage payments, disputes, and supplier relationships.
Deputise for the Contract Manager when required.
Collaborate with Procurement, Health & Safety, and other University departments.Profile

Significant experience in commercial contract management.
Good knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
Experience in procurement practices and supplier management.
Awareness of market trends and costs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Problem‑solving ability with a proactive "can‑do" attitude.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Commitment to personal development and customer awareness.
Ordinary National Certificate or City & Guilds Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
Health & Safety qualifications would be beneficial (IOSH or NEBOSH)Job Offer

Competitive salary ranging from £29,000 to £35,000 per annum.
Permanent position based in Loughborough.
