Location: Manchester (City Centre)
Contract: Freelance / Temporary
Start: ASAP – February 2026
Rate: £300 – £320 per shift

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Finishing Manager to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor on a high-profile development in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a flagship project with one of the UK’s leading Tier 1 contractors.

Role & Responsibilities:

As Finishing Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing and coordinating all internal and external finishing works to achieve programme, quality and safety targets. Key duties will include:
• Overseeing all finishing trades through to successful handover
• Managing subcontractors, quality control and defect resolution
• Driving programme against key milestones and reporting progress
• Coordinating with Site & Project Management teams
• Ensuring works are delivered to the highest standards of quality and safety
• Managing snagging, commissioning and client handover
• Maintaining accurate site records and RAMS compliance

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Finishing Manager on large residential developments
• Strong background with Tier 1 main contractors
• Excellent knowledge of internal fit-out, façades and finishing packages
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (essential)
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work to demanding programmes and quality standards
