About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Retrofit Contracts Manager to join a leading contractor specialising in sustainable construction and retrofit solutions. This organisation is at the forefront of the UK’s net-zero and energy efficiency agenda, delivering impactful retrofit projects for local authorities and housing providers.
The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of decarbonisation and retrofit contracts in line with PAS 2030 / PAS 2035 standards, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality. This role plays a key part in supporting the transition to greener, more energy-efficient homes across the region.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage retrofit and decarbonisation projects for public sector and social housing clients.
* Ensure full compliance with PAS 2030 / PAS 2035 and other relevant industry standards.
* Oversee project budgets, schedules, and delivery teams to ensure successful completion.
* Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to maintain strong collaboration.
* Monitor performance metrics, produce progress and compliance reports, and drive continuous improvement.
* Uphold strict health, safety, and environmental standards across all works.
* Support tendering and funding applications for retrofit and sustainability programmes.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
* Proven experience managing retrofit, energy efficiency, or sustainability-based contracts.
* Strong working knowledge of PAS 2030 / PAS 2035 frameworks.
* Background in mechanical or electrical engineering (HNC/HND or equivalent).
* Excellent communication, project management, and organisational skills.
* Experience working with funding schemes such as SHDF, ECO4, or LAD.
* Valid SMSTS certification and full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
* Retrofit Coordinator or Assessor accreditation.
* Experience with renewable technologies (e.g., heat pumps, solar PV, battery storage).
* Understanding of building performance evaluation and energy modelling.
