Building Surveyor
A client within the Public Sector based in Wiltshire is currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join their Corporate Buildings team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a capital and planned maintenance environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to deliver capital and planned maintenance projects across corporate and listed buildings, prepare and manage design and technical specifications, and administer construction contracts from inception to completion.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Delivering capital and planned maintenance investment projects
• Preparing feasibility studies, design specifications, drawings and tender documentation
• Carrying out condition, dilapidation, structural and HHSRS-related surveys
• Managing budgets, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and building legislation
• Attending meetings with tenants, leaseholders, building users and stakeholders to provide advice
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require: HNC in Building Studies, AutoCAD qualification, and a current driving licence.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• Strong knowledge of construction health & safety, CDM 2015 and asbestos regulations
• Experience managing planned maintenance contracts and contractor performance
• Ability to diagnose building defects and produce detailed technical reports
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £50 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £40 per hour PAYE).
