Mechanical Coordinator Supervisor
Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading power company to recruit a Mechanical Coordinator Supervisor for their power station in Chester on a short-term contract basis for a minimum of approx 14 weeks.
Key skills
Develop and implement work plans and schedules.
Review risk assessments and method statements.
Forecast and prepare materials, equipment, and contractors. Plan for training or briefing sessions for the team on site-specific procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) for isolations.
Pre-outage inspections.
Lead mechanical teams and subcontractors in daily activities, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and resolving issues on-site. Ensure work meets quality standards and is completed within schedule.
Oversee maintenance and repairs.
Ensure safety and compliance: Enforce PPE usage, conduct daily safety briefings, monitor for hazards, and manage permits to work.
Quality control and documentation.
Progress reporting and adjustments.
Must have experience on shutdowns, outages or TAR (Shutdown and turnaround) on a biomass power plant or similar industry such as EFW.
