Freelance Project Manager

Seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to lead the construction of a large traditional-build housing development in Milton Keynes. Candidates must have extensive traditional housing experience gained with a main contractor.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day site management and drive the construction programme.

*

Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to maintain progress, quality, and safety.

*

Ensure compliance with all H&S procedures, building regulations, and design specifications.

*

Manage site logistics, resources, and sequencing for efficient delivery.

*

Report on progress, chair site meetings, and maintain strong client communication.

*

Support commercial teams with cost control and subcontractor performance.

Requirements

Proven experience managing large traditional-build housing projects.

*

Strong background with main contractors.

*

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

*

SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Manager) and First Aid preferred
