Design Coordinator – Main Contractor

* High Rise Residential Project

* Permanent: Up to £60,000 + Package

* Location: East London

We are currently searching for a Design Coordinator who is seeking a new challenge. At the forefront of construction innovation, this main contractor are setting the bar for project delivery in the UK and due to project wins, are looking to bolster their Design Team.

As Design Coordinator you will work closely with the delivery team, clients, external consultants, architects and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of schemes throughout London and the South East.

The Role:

* Coordinate design information between architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.

* Manage the design programme, track progress, and ensure deliverables align with the construction schedule.

* Review drawings for buildability, compliance, and alignment with project requirements.

* Lead design meetings, workshops, and manage interfaces across all technical disciplines.

* Control drawing issuance, updates, and version management through the CDE.

* Identify design risks early and support change control and impact assessments.

* Provide timely design support to site teams, resolving technical queries quickly.

* Ensure all design work adheres to planning conditions, building regulations, CDM, and relevant standards

Experience Required:

* 3+ years’ experience working in a design function within a main contractor

* Experience working on high rise residential/hotel/PBSA projects is essential

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

* Team player who excels in collaboration
