Senior Planner – Belgium
We are currently searching for a Senior Planner for one of Europe’s fastest growing general contractors in the mission critical and life sciences sectors. This business boasts over 50 years in business and annual turnover is pushing the €2 billion mark. They are currently going through a healthy growth phase and with that, are looking to bolster their site team for a brand new data centre project in Belgium.
In terms of experience, someone coming from a data centre background is advantageous however candidates from other construction sectors will be considered. Project delivery ability, proven track record, detail driven personality and forward-thinking mindset is crucial.
You will be working for a market leading contractor that operates a diverse business model and demands modern health and safety and employee engagement practises.
Key Responsibilities

Lead all project planning activities, providing strategic guidance to Site Teams on programme development, progress tracking, forecasting, and critical path management.
*
Drive effective coordination between the Client, subcontractors, suppliers, designers, and internal stakeholders regarding all planning and scheduling matters.
*
Represent the Planning function at project, design, progress, and client meetings, offering expert insight and influencing decision-making.
*
Manage programme change control, assessing the impact of variations, delays, and design developments, and advising the project leadership team on mitigation strategies.
*
Provide planning support during tender stages, including preparation of baseline programmes, methodologies, sequencing strategies, and resourcing plans.
*
Attend and lead pre-contract planning presentations, clearly explaining programme strategy, risks, and required deliverables.
*
Monitor, analyse, and report on project progress, producing detailed progress reports, KPIs, and schedule performance insights.
*
Maintain and update short-term (look-ahead) programmes, highlighting risks, opportunities, and potential impacts to both the Client and the Project Team.
*
Work collaboratively with Project Managers to assess alternative sequencing options, recovery plans, and optimisation opportunities.
*
Ensure full compliance with Company planning procedures, continuously improving planning systems and controls.
*
Review, coordinate, and integrate subcontractor and design programmes into the master schedule, ensuring alignment with project deliverables.
*
Maintain accurate as-built records and compile the final as-built programme for project close-out.
Required Experience & Skills
*
Minimum 3+ years of project planning experience with a recognised Main Contractor (senior-level applicants typically bring more).
*
EU passport / full right to work is essential.
*
Experience in Data Centres, Life Sciences, and/or Mission Critical projects is highly advantageous.
*
Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential.
*
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
*
Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to programme management.
