About the company:
Our client have been established as a housebuilder for over 60 years and currently have regional office bases throughout the UK. They are recognised as the highest quality major national housebuilder, having been awarded an exclusive ‘5 Star Housebuilder Award’ by the Homebuilders Federation. Projects to date range vastly in terms of specification and construction technique dependant on the location of the regional office. Major projects include multi-unit RC frame structures in Central London as well as town and village regeneration and low rise traditional build housing.
About the opportunity:
* Implement CDM/EMS requirements, assessing and reducing design risks.
* Fulfil Designer duties in line with CDM regulations.
* Ensure CDM/EMS standards are embedded within all design and site activities.
* Consider environmental and ecological factors throughout the development process.
* Secure S38, S104, S185 & S278 legal agreements to suit the development programme.
* Create site layouts and provide engineering input during planning and construction stages.
* Oversee external consultants and liaise with statutory authorities to resolve technical matters.
* Work collaboratively with project teams to deliver efficient planning and engineering solutions.
* Lead public and stakeholder engagement for planning submissions.
* Review and assess potential new land opportunities.
About the benefits and rewards:
Salary will depend on experience within the residential sector. The company provides excellent progression opportunities and offers a base salary of up to £70k DOE. Additional company benefits are also included.
About the requirements:
* Strong engineering background within residential development (roads, drainage, foundations, utilities, etc.).
* Ideally working for a developer but would consider consultancy
* Proficient in relevant software including AutoCAD, PDS, Windes, Microdrainage.
* Engineering qualification (degree or equivalent), ideally RICS or ICE accredited.
* Experience working within a high-performing engineering team.
* Capability to oversee both internal and external civil engineering design work.
* Solid knowledge of technical standards, regulations, and geotechnical/environmental documentation.
* Demonstrated experience in technical site assessments and ground condition evaluations.
* Understanding of remediation methods and foundation design principles.
* Ability to manage deadlines effectively and prioritise workload
